Mimaki UJF-3042 MkII e jig for golf ball blanks
With 0.3 mm clearance per side, 4 mm webs and a 10 mm margin, the Mimaki UJF-3042 MkII e's 300 × 420 mm work area fits 50 pockets for golf ball blanks, in 9 staggered rows. A straight grid would hold 48; offsetting every other row by half a pocket gains 2.

What to know before you cut
The 0.3 mm starting clearance assumes a 3D-printed jig without hole compensation. Cut the test-fit coupon (0.0 to 0.5 mm) in the generator before the full plate: blanks from different suppliers vary, and the laser's kerf makes cut holes slightly larger than drawn.
Golf balls sit in 30 mm seat holes in a 6 mm plate, so the top of each ball stands about 42.7 mm above the bed (the Mimaki UJF-3042 MkII e takes 153 mm). The printable cap on a ball is small, so keep logos near the top.
This staggered layout cannot be split into 256 mm tiles without cutting through pockets; switch to a grid in the generator, trim the plate, or print it on a larger printer.
The Rules of Equipment set a minimum diameter of 1.680 in and no maximum. The jig cuts a 30 mm seat hole; the ball's footprint sets the spacing.
